Removing Trays From Dining Halls is a Stupid Idea

I just wanted to put myself on the record as having said that. The water and energy savings obtained from not using trays (and thus not having to use half a gallon of water to wash each trays) is equivalent to either taking showers that are about 12 seconds shorter or alternatively (assuming ten minute showers) skipping one shower every 7 weeks or so. Seeing as I already do the latter, I plan to be using trays for every meal that it's convenient to do so.

That said, if you don't find it any more convenient to use a tray, more power to you. If I'm just grabbing a bowl of cereal and a glass of juice, I'll gladly skip the tray. But trays were introduced to dining halls for a reason.
